Neuroscientists from around the world traveled to Chicago from October 4th - 10th for the annual Society for Neuroscience 2024 meeting, with nearly 23,000 attendees. Dr. Logan was in attendance to present a poster on his recent work with two Endicott students on the pathological connections between Parkinson's disease and melanoma. It was a wonderful time of seeing old friends and making new aquaintences. Dr. Logan is hopeful that some of his new connections will become fruitful collaborations on future projects. He met other scientists who were working on the connection between Parkinson's disease and melanoma, as well as scientists interested in senescence, multi-omics, bioinformatics, and drosophila models. He also tried to network on behalf of the special edition that he is serving as a guest editor for in the journal Metabolites. However, it is published through MDPI, and so people are hesitant to publish in the special issue.
